Terra Nova are one of the most well-known outdoor UK brands, especially in the world of high-end camping equipment. With the recent launch of a new ecommerce website, they wanted to produce a social campaign to raise awareness of their black friday sale. Having just underwent a basic brand refresh, they hadn’t yet deployed any campaigns using a new visual identity so they also required a new style direction which could be followed in subsequent social & digital campaigns.
We decided to launch 2 parts to the Black Friday campaign, which consisted of a teaser (‘Peg The Date’) to raise awarenss and build anticipation in the lead up to the sale event, and then complimentary visuals which would be deployed in the full week long Black Friday event. In all the social graphics content was kept to the essential messaging, visuals where striking and utlised imagery related to the outdoors (key to their audience) which also conveyed a sense of excitement and enjoyment.
In terms of format, multiple visuals where created in the optimum sizes for the likes of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn. For Instagram (a key channel for Terra Nova) images where produced in portrait format as they achieve the maximum engagement rates, and also in formats to cater for stories, reels & IGTV.
