Challenge
Oak Meadows is a brand new housing development of 71 luxury homes. They came to Reactive for the initial requirement of a website to promote the contemporay development (which would later lead to other services in print & online marketing once they learned of the breadth of our full range of services). The first challenge was to develop and evolve a visual identity which would make the OM brand look unique and different to set-apart this luxury contemporary development from the more well-known housing developers operating in the same geographical area.
Whilst there was lots of potential content to include in the website – another challenge was to distill the content to make the website be as easy as possible to look through and digest whilst enticing the potential customer to find out more (and capture their details to market to further)
Finally – the client wanted a bespoke and interactive house plot plan developing which showed availability and the need to act quick to get the best plots upon each phased release. The client felt this kind of thing had never been done well on other hosuing development websites.
SOLUTION
We used our brand identity expertise to evolve a perfectly suited look & feel for Oak Meadows that would work well online (and also in print and other digital channels) to appeal directly to the identified audience type who wanted something contemporary, different and unique.
The website itself was kept to a minimum of pages – with each page focusing on what we identified as a key area – with the core messaging throughout re-inforcing ‘The Difference’ of this unique housing development.
Imagery was a key part of promoting these luxury contemporary properties and is used throughout to show the various differentiators compared to rival property developers. Our copywriting services where also utlised to re-inforce the core messaging.
For the bespoke ‘site plot plan’ we researched what competitors where doing and proposed a solution which was even more user friendly, and in the words of our client “better than anyone else is doing”.
The client was very satisfied with the end result, with Phase 1 selling off-plan, and we continue to work with them on other aspects of the housing development across all channels.
BESPOKE PLOT AVAILABILITY SITE MAP
The plot plan (shown below) was a key feature of the website and it needed to clearly demonstrate plot availability, house type, location & price. It also needed to be very intuitive and easy to use, whilst also having the ability to filter properties by availability. The client felt that this is often not done very well on other develper sites, but was more than impressed with our bespoke solution. Time and again Reactive are able to solve any challenge posed by our clients.
OAK MEADOWS HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
Here you can see the distinctive and contemporary look & feel developed for Oak Meadows with the natural colour palette, leaf texture running throughout and extensive use of house imagery.
Because there was a lot of content to fit into a handful of pages – a key design technique which we often use when web-pages are quite long is breaking them up into visual chunks which makes information seem more digestible and readable. We also used anchored links to certain sections of page content and strong calls to action are placed throughout with a ‘book an appointment’ module on the footer of every page.
