Challenge

As a result of the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, our client Aura Assistance needed to rapidly launch a specialist travel insurance product to meet the needs of travellers who visit specific countries and require covid-19 insurance.

Firstly, in trying to sell their insurance product to work in particular countries around the world, Aura Assistance needed individual ‘demo-sites’ that could be set-up fast to show a potential country how their sub-site could work and look. Once a sale had been made with the help of the demo-site, it then neeeded to be reapidly launched. The client was unsure how to go about the best way of doing these websites in the most efficient and effective way, and they approached us at Reactive for a solution.

SOLUTION

In working closely with Aura Assistance, we gathered all their needs, requirements and wishes in order to create the best proposal for this travel insurance product.

We decided it would be most efficient and cost-effective to have sub-sites which would be based on a ‘1-page’ website template – with each to be easily personalised to a specific country. By working in this way, it would be easy to clone an existing countries sub-site, brand it up and make it available for demo. Once it was approved with a member country it could be easily added to Aura Assistance landing page which has a list of drop down countries.

AURA ASSISTANCE – SPECIALIST COVID-19 TRAVEL INSURANCE

The actual landing page for www.auraassistance.com was kept very simple and easy to use with a drop down menu to choose the insurance product for a specific country.

From their you would be taken to a 1-page site to obtain covid-19 travel insurance for each country. The ‘1-page’ site approach meant that we needed to display quite a bit of information.

As ever when presenting information on a website – the user’s needs need to be taken into consideration – and the layout needs to be not only visually appealing – but also present the information in an easy to digest manner. To do this it’s important to have visual hierarchies to help the eye find relevant information and have clear Call To Action’s so the user takes the desired action. Breaking up the sections of the site into visual chunks/modules, aided by the use of icons & imagery also helps the content look manageable on the eye and easy to read.

In terms of the menu navigation, this had anchored links to modules further down the page, which is suitable to the distilled content and make’s all information immediately available. Because of the amount of FAQ’s – an accordian technique was used to enable the user to ‘open-up’ these one by open where relevant.

The approach we took was very successful, meant we could rapidly turn around demo sites to sell the insuarance product to partner countries  and then quickly push these sub-sites live. It helped Aura Assistance sell lots of specialist travel insurance policies for a variety of countries during the covid-19 pandemic and working with Reactive gave them a phenomenal return on investment.

“Reactive always go above and beyond on every project and deliver the goods every time. In all honesty working with them couldn’t be easier, it’s like having an extended marketing team at the end of the phone. Without them my job would be much harder and it’s testament to their knowledge, experience and cheeky banter that makes working with them such good fun”
